Joshua Tree National Park
Located on the southern end of the Mojave Desert, Joshua Tree National Park is a great place to visit during winter. There is a plethora of things to do in and around the National Park such as the Palm Springs Tram, Desert Hot Springs (mineral baths), and Mitchell Caverns.
San Diego Whale Watching Tours

Death Valley National Park is huge and you can spend a good few days there and not even scratch the surface of everything the park has to offer.
Malibu Beach
Make sure you make time to really get the full beach experience when you visit Malibu Beach. You can choose to relax ocean side or if you’re more of the explorer type, you’ll have miles of coastline to hike and discover.
