Planning a party can be difficult, but planning a children’s party is a whole new world of crazy. There are so many things to do. Find a theme, buy decorations, make or buy a cake, make invitations, and deal with a lot of kids at your house on the day of the party. While it is hectic it is worth it. Seeing a great big smile on your kid’s face will feel rewarding. Here are a few helpful tips and tricks to help you plan a children’s party.

The very first thing you should do is make a plan. Decide when the party will start and end, and where it is going to be. Once that has been decided the next step is to choose a theme. This could be based on a book, movie, television show, character, sports, hobby, etc… There are so many themes to choose from. When deliberating try to pick a theme that will be ways to incorporate in games and food. Having a mainstream theme will make it easier to shop for decorations, cake toppings, and supplies for games. 

Make a list of everything you will need for the party. Try to have everything a few days before the party starts. This way you will not forget anything and not have to rush to the store. A major part of this is buying ingredients for a cake or ordering a cake from a bakery. If you choose to make a cake there are two different options. You can make the whole cake from scratch or you can use a box mix. Both of these options are great, it just depends on what you want.
