Tips for Simplifying Your Life

 In Uncategorized

While living in a Los Angeles RV Park, you’ll find that while comfortable, there probably won’t be lots of extra room for unnecessary stuff. It may be time to simplify and get rid of those belongings that you just don’t use. The minimalist lifestyle can be refreshing and we truly believe that less clutter will relieve a little bit of stress from anyone’s life. Follow these steps to begin simplifying your life.

Take Inventory

First, you’ll need to take inventory of your belongings so that you know what you’re dealing with. Once you have that, you’ll go through your list and decide what is absolutely essential and what can go. If you are hanging onto items for sentimental reasons, try to evaluate how much those items mean to you. If you feel that you shouldn’t part with any certain item, don’t do it. We don’t want you to have any regrets later on. If you haven’t used an object in over a year and a half, chances are you won’t need it.

Donate, Sell, and Store

Now that you know which items you would like to purge, you’ll need to get rid of them somehow. Consider donating any items that are still in good shape that could benefit another family in need. Selling your belongings is also an option as there are many options to sell your stuff online. You can also hang up a flyer in your neighborhood or workspace. Have items that you don’t want to get rid of just quite yet but aren’t currently using? You could always store them in a storage facility for safekeeping until a later date.

Deep Clean

Do a really thorough cleaning twice a year, maybe once in the spring and once in the fall. Doing a deep cleaning will make your home more inviting and will also give you the opportunity to go through your belongings and reevaluate what you need and what can go. Plus, who doesn’t like to live in a nice, clean home?

Stop Buying Things You Don’t Need

It can be all too easy to buy items you don’t really need just because you’re feeling stressed. Before you click that purchase button or head to the store, really stop and think about it. Do you really need that new sweater even though you already have a closet full of them? Do you need that new book or can you just go borrow it from the library? There are so many things that seem enticing in the moment, only to be forgotten just weeks later.
